Fall & Family

I must say that Fall one of my favorite times of year. I just feel surrounded by creativity in Fall. The orange and crunch of the leaves, the smell, the food, I could go on and on but it's just a time that I feel so happy in.

This is most likely why I have had a very hard time actually getting myself to plop down in my studio and write this post. Believe me I've tried, I've started it and well, I've finally got around to doing it. The past two weeks that I've tried I end up getting distracted by the views of fall outside my window.

So to play catchup since the last time I've posted...

My beautiful little niece turned one on the 14th. It's so hard to believe that it has already been a year. She is such a bright little soul. She surprises me everyday and I can't help but know that she has things more figured out then us sometimes, her eyes are so knowing. Her smile brightens a room her laugh will melt the hardest heart like butter. Happy Birthday my little angel.

Birthday Girl and Mommy at her party. See so beautiful just like her mama.

That Sunday my family participated in a local Making Strides for Breast Cancer. It is a cause that I hold very close to my heart. Both my Grandmothers are survivors of breast Cancer along with my Nannie's Nannie (my grandma's grandma). These women the survivors are so strong. They embraced one another, showing love and support. They didn't have to know who they were hugging or walking next to, they simply showed love and received love. It was so wonderful to see so many people there to support and the speeches were so inspirational. I loved their motto of lets have many more birthdays. Which struck home with me since just the day before we celebrated my nieces birthday.  The whole day was amazing and it just reassured me of who I wear my pink for.
Fun thing about this photo is it includes four generations of my family.
